What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is more than just “worry.” It’s the body and mind’s way of responding to perceived threats. Everyone experiences anxious thoughts and sensations sometimes—but when anxiety becomes frequent, intense, or overwhelming, it can interfere with daily life: work or school, relationships, sleep, self‐confidence, or physical health.

“Anxiety happens when you think you have to figure out everything all at once.” — Karen Salmansohn

Who We Help

I work with children, teens, adults, and parents or caregivers who are struggling with various forms of anxiety, including:

  • Generalised Anxiety

  • Social Anxiety

  • Separation Anxiety

  • Phobias

  • Panic Attacks

  • Obsessive‐Compulsive tendencies

  • Anxiety that accompanies or exacerbates other challenges (e.g. ADHD, developmental conditions, life transitions)

If you are a caregiver of a child or teen with anxiety, I also offer support to help you understand and manage the anxiety together.

What You Can Expect

  • Assessment & Understanding
We begin by identifying the key triggers, patterns, and impacts of your anxiety—emotionally, mentally, physically.

  • Personalized Treatment Plan
Together we set goals and choose therapeutic strategies suited to you.

  • Skill Building & Tools
Learn tools to regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thoughts, build resilience, and reduce avoidance.

  • Application Beyond Therapy
My aim is for you to develop strategies you can carry into your daily life—not just coping in session.
